Careers — Chaos Consulting | Work With Us
Join the Team

Built for
people who
are building.

We hire working creatives — writers who publish, filmmakers who shoot, strategists who create. You do great client work here while building your own brand on the side. We take an equity stake in what you build. Everyone wins or no one does.

4 Open Roles — Actively Hiring

A different kind of agency model.

Most agencies hire coordinators — people to manage deliverables, relay feedback, and keep things organized. We hire creators. There's a difference, and it shows up in the work.

Every person on the Chaos Consulting team is actively building something of their own — a newsletter, a channel, a production company, a brand. That's not a distraction from the client work. It's the reason the client work is any good.

In exchange for doing exceptional work for our clients, you get a salary, flexible hours, creative freedom, and an infrastructure you couldn't build alone. We take an equity stake in the brands and projects you launch while working here. If it succeeds, we both win. If it doesn't, you still got paid and built something real.

01
Client Work — 50%
You spend roughly half your time doing high-quality strategy, production, and creative work for Chaos Consulting clients. This pays your salary and sharpens your skills across real campaigns with real stakes.
02
Your Brand — 50%
The other half is yours. Build your audience, develop your product, launch your show. You have the infrastructure, the team, and the time to do it properly — not just squeeze it in around a full-time job.
03
Equity Alignment
House of Chaos takes a minority equity stake in the brands and projects you develop here. The terms are agreed upfront and are straightforward. You keep control. We provide capital, infrastructure, and distribution.
04
Grow Together
As your brand grows and the business grows, compensation and ownership evolve. We're not looking for employees who stay forever out of comfort. We're looking for builders who stay because it's working.

Not a culture
fit. A build fit.

We don't have a ping-pong table or a snack wall. We have interesting work, real creative freedom, and a team that takes what they do seriously. The people who thrive here share a few things in common.

01
You're Already Creating
You have a newsletter, a channel, a portfolio, a project — something that demonstrates you make things independent of a job requirement. We want to see that you create because you can't not, not because someone assigned it.
02
You Have a Point of View
Generic thinkers produce generic work. We want people who have developed real opinions about their craft — about what makes content work, what makes a brand resonate, what makes an audience trust you. Strong opinions, loosely held.
03
You're Honest About What You Don't Know
We can work with someone who's still learning. We can't work with someone who won't say so. The team moves faster when everyone is honest about their gaps and the environment is safe enough to admit them.
04
You Deliver Without Reminders
We run lean. Nobody has time to chase down deliverables. If you say you'll have something by Thursday, it's there by Thursday — or you've flagged a problem before Thursday, not after. Reliability is non-negotiable here.
05
You're Comfortable With Ambiguity
We're a growing agency. Not every process is documented. Not every answer is clear. The people who do best here are the ones who can move forward in uncertainty without needing a perfect brief before they start.
06
You Want to Build Something
The model only works if you have genuine ambition for your own creative or business project. This isn't for someone who wants a stable job and no creative pressure. This is for someone who wants to build something and needs the infrastructure to do it.

Tell us who you are — your background, your craft, and what you've built or are building.
Show us your work — portfolio, channel, publication, whatever demonstrates how you think and what you make.
Tell us what you want — what role makes sense, what you're trying to build, and why this model works for where you are.
We respond to every application — yes or no. You won't be ghosted.
01
Skin in the Game
We're building alongside our clients and our team. Everyone here has something real at stake — that's not a requirement, it's what makes the work worth doing.
02
Honesty Over Comfort
We tell clients the truth. We tell each other the truth. A team that can't have hard conversations is a team that produces mediocre work. We'd rather be honest and uncomfortable than agreeable and wrong.
03
Creatives Deserve Infrastructure
The reason most talented people never build anything is logistics, not ability. We exist to remove that barrier — for clients and for our own team.
04
Results Are the Only Metric
We don't optimize for looking busy, producing volume, or winning awards. We optimize for outcomes — for clients and for the brands we're building internally.
